Subtle again? Damn

I had such high hopes for this mani today.  Alas, the sun was hiding and the design and colors I chose made this so subtle that even I could hardly see what I had done.

I cannot believe how close it is to Christmas.  It seems like this year has flown by.  I will be going home to New York to see the fam and will be bringing you manis from my awesome niece!  I so hope there is a ton of snow.  I want to drive my dad's snowblower. It has got to be the most fun thing to drive ever.  I crank up the tunes, bundle up and go to town on the huge driveway my family has.  Probably takes me about an hour to do it right.  Let me see if I have a picture to share with you for later in this post!

First up though, we have the silly bottle shot.

This is Barry M Burgundy and Bright Purple.  I thought the shimmer in the Burgundy would play nice with the Purple.  I'm not sure I was right on this one.

I started with Burgundy and an accent nail of Purple.  Here are the starting shots.  The sun was not out at all for this post.

While these colors are gorgeous on their own, I'm not sure they are good together. What do you think?

Next I stamped with the opposite color using the new Red Angel plate RA209.  This design would have been better on different colors.

It's kind of a full design that covers the base color.  It's hard to see and explain.  I'll need to use this with better colors.  Next I just added my funky and here are the results.

I tried on my thumb adding Northern Lights holo topcoat and while you can kind of still see the pattern here, in real life you cannot.

Now let me see if we can scrounge up a pic of me driving the snowplow......

Trust me, that's Fingers manning the controls!  Doesn't that look like fun?  This was from a couple of years ago.  There wasn't enough snow last year.

So what did you think of my subtle repeat?  Yay or nay?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
