Name that tune

As I sit here contemplating what to write, part of me is very sad.  Today is the last day in New York with the fam.  When you read this, I will already be home and getting my hair done, but am writing from NY.  I wait all year for this vacation and it is over so fast.  It's a shame really.

I didn't do my niece's nails yesterday, she had other projects to do.  Woke up this morning to a very chilly room.  I think it got down to 39F or so.  I love the cold and there is nothing better than to snuggle under a pile of blankets and sleep.  Now I have to pack up my stuff, load the car and get ready for my long road trip home.  My cats will be happy to see me I'm sure!

I mentioned in a previous post, that I tried kayaking for the first time.  My mom is an avid kayaker and does it all the time up in Canada at our camp.  I thought I'd give it a try.  Guess what!  It was really fun.  Quite a workout for the arms, which is cool with me since I have buff arms.

Again, in lieu of the bottle shot, here is me kayaking.

I did a big loop three times but then the wind picked up and the lake got too wavy and I had to stop. Went yesterday to the local kayak shop here just to check prices.  I live on a lake and theoretically I could kayak there but have no way of getting the kayak to the lake.

Since yesterday's mani was such a fail, I had to do much better this time.  I started with Essie She's Picture Perfect, which is a soft lilac with shimmer in it.  The shimmer shows more in the bottle than the nail.  Please excuse the blurry again.  I have no idea what's going on with that.

This is almost the correct purple.  My camera likes to turn purple into blue.  I next stamped using Fab Ur Nails plate 2 with Barry M Indigo.  Topped it off with my funky and I was done.  The final results came out blue on my camera.  This is purple!

Pretty cool eh?  I love the piano and thought I'd go ahead and use this design today. Now you get my crazy title right?  You know I always try to do a creative title.

I leave you with the last of my vacation shots.  It's back to reality now.  Damn.

I have had a great vacation.  So very sad it's over already.  I hope you have enjoyed sharing some of my memories with me.

After this post, we will now return to my regularly scheduled programming.

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
