Reliving my Goth days

I'm sure I've told you before that I used to be hard core Goth.  Back in the 80s, my friends all had mohawks, wore all black and hung out in abandoned buildings.  I just loved those days.  I had a shaved head like Sinead O' Connor did, had 5 stripes shaved in the left temple and took colored mascara and 'tipped' my blond hair with it to match my outfit.  I wish I had pictures.  I really do!

Nowadays, it's the norm to wear black polish, but back then it was cool and edgy.  I felt like reliving those days through my polish.  Do you ever do that?  Relive a memory through polish?

Today's bottle shot is brought to you by my big boy Sam.  Here he is in all his glory.

Here he is getting a tan, laying in the sun.  As you can see, we are doing a day of YSL polish.  Their season look is matte and shiny black funky frenches.  How could I resist that?  The only problem I want to complain about is that I thought I was getting full size bottles.  Well these are minis.  Damn fine print! Anyway, I started with the matte and did my accent nail in the shiny.  And why YSL did you make the brush at an angle?  WTF is up with that?  Next time, I'm cutting the bristles to make a straight line.  The 45 degree angle thing just isn't working for me.

This is more a rubber finish to me.  I am just loving it! I need to delve more into the world of matteness. And I could have gotten away with just one coat if it weren't for that stupid brush!  Now to copy the YSL idea, here is the funky french added.  I didn't want to stamp over this since the black was so awesome by itself.

Isn't this incredible?  So simple and yet so elegant.  I wish I had done this sooner.  I can just picture some Connect the Dots on this or a nice subtle stamp.  But this is sweet all on its own.

Any thoughts out there in blog land?
