Sexy 666

The other day I was reading blogs I follow and one asked what my favorite purple was.  I immediately thought of Essie Sexy Divide.  This is one of the first Essies I ever bought and has been in my stash for years.  One reason I love it is the number on the label. 666.

Now you guys know how much I love scary movies and this 666 is the sign of evil in those movies.  I was in Target the other day and saw Sexy Divide and thought "I wonder if the number is the same now that it is not a salon exclusive."  Nope-the number has been changed to 320 something, I don't remember the exact number but I was bummed that my pretty purple's number had been changed.  Alas, I still have my original.

Here is the preview of what's to come for today-

Yes, this is the pattern on my dinner ware-isn't is cool? It's discontinued like most things I love in life. So I mustn't break a dish!  We have RBL Insouciant, Essie Sexy Divide and CND Ice Blue Sparkle.  Is the anticipation killing you yet?

Sexy Divide is a beautiful blurple with what I think are lighter purple and red shimmers.  It's hard to describe. Plus my camera being stupid as it is makes all purples blue-so take these pictures with a grain of salt-they aren't showing my 666 as it is in real life!

Trust me, it's a much sexier purple in reality.  I just love it so.  I originally wanted to stamp with China Glaze Urban Night, in the bottles they both look awesome together.  When I stamped my thumb to test the CG didn't show at all.  So I switched to one of my other favorite purples, RBL Insouciant.  I have posted this by itself before under the title, 'A polish pick me up.'  Check it out, it's beautiful.  I used BM plate 202 and my funky french.

I have no idea what the hell was wrong with the stamp plate.  But I could not get a clean stamp with this one. Maybe it has a hidden defect.  You can see blobs on my ring and pinky fingers that I could not fix.  The colors are really nice together.  Again, more purple in reality.

The grand finale is CND Ice Blue Sparkle.  I hadn't tried the sparkle effects yet, and don't have a violet one.  I didn't think green would look good so that's how I chose the blue.  After I had used it, I realized it kind of ruined my purple fest.  The blue sparkle kind of took over and masked the whole thing.  Oh well, lesson learned for next time.

It kind of ruined the overall look for me. See how the blue overpowers it?  I preferred it sans sparkle.  But oh how I love my 666!

What do you think?

Also, it has come to my attention that Blogger is stealing my followers.  People who have signed up one day are gone the next.  Please please check to make sure you are still on my list. It may show on yours, but still not be on mine.  One of these days, I will surprise you with another giveaway and I'd hate for you to miss out because Blogger is stupid!!
